Robert H. Keis, 78 DOVER - Robert H. Keis went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 15, 2010, at Kent General Hospital. He was 78. Bob was born in New Castle, Pa., to Harley Keis and Mabel Young Keis. He served in the United States Navy for 4 years during the Korean War. Bob began as a self employed home repair contractor, later becoming a licensed electrician, and progressed to an electrical inspector. He was sought after for his knowledge of the National Electric Code and his ability to teach and explain the NEC to inspectors, electricians and contractors; known to many as "a walking electrical code book." Bob was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Dover. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ruth of Dover; two sons, Ronald and Thomas; four grandchildren, Adam, Ryan King, Rebekah and Thomas Keis, Jr.; and brother, William and his wife Ann. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m., Thursday March 18, at the 1st Baptist Church, 301 Walker Road, Dover. Friends may call from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Interment will be noon, Monday, March 22, in Sylvania Hills Memorial Cemetery, Rochester, Pa., with Pastor Jim Cossin. In lieu of flowers, those who wish, may contribute to 1st Baptist Church in memory of Bob. Funeral arrangements by Torbert Funeral Chapels, Dover.
