LEWES - Robert Carlton Rollins Jr., also know as "Bob" or "Moose" by his friends, entered The Church Triumphant, surrounded by his family on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 53. Mr. Rollins was born in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 25, 1957, son of Robert C. and Loretta Lee (Dixon) Rollins. After graduation from Lincoln Technical Institute, Robert worked as a gas attendant at Washington Cab in Washington, D.C. Eventually he went into his Dad's trade as a drywall finisher. In 1982, Robert moved from Glen Burnie, Maryland to Lewes, Delaware and continued working in his trade. In recent years, Robert owned and operated his own drywall business, RC Rollins, Jr. Drywall Company. Mr. Rollins number one priority was taking care of his family. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan. Robert also never met a cat he didn't like. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and John Rollins. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Rebecca Rae (Hampton) Rollins; a son, Wayne White of Fruitland, Md.; a daughter, Flo White of Millsboro; his mother, Loretta Rollins of Lewes; four siblings, Joe Rollins of Catonsville, Md., Carol Rokuskie of Swedesboro, N.J., David Rollins of Lewes, and Laurie Brinton of Lewes; 16 nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Conley's United Methodist Church, 33106 Jolyn's Way, Lewes, DE 19958. Interment will be private.
