CLAYTON - Ricky L. Johnson Sr., 47, of Clayton, was called home to be with Jesus on Aug. 2, 2010. He is survived by his wife Kelly and their children Ricky Jr. and Allie. He is also survived by his mother, Emma Jean Johnson of Smyrna; three sisters, Debbie O'Brien and her husband Matt of Middletown, Donna Brown and her husband Russell of Smyrna, and Michelle Johnson of Middletown. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul "Toby" Johnson in 2000. Ricky loved his family, the beach, NASCAR, riding his Harley, and cooking. He had fond memories of his years racing at Airport Speedway. He was a talented carpenter who was loved and respected my many. For the past 15 years, he was employed at Printpack Inc., New Castle. He was a wonderful, loving, strong man who will be deeply missed. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 7, at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at noon. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna. If desired, contributions may be sent to Cancer Care, 275 7th Ave., New York, NY 10001.
