Richard Wayne Eashum

Richard (Rich) Wayne Eashum, 66
Richard (Rich) Wayne Eashum, of Camden, passed away on July 19, 2023, at his home. Richard was born May 1, 1957, in Dover, DE, the son of Stephen & Mildred (Rash) Eashum.
Richard attended the Caesar Rodney School District and continued his education at various bases including Germany after joining the United States Army. After his military retirement, he continued his studies at Del Tech in the Graphic Arts program and worked for the Dover Post Company in the camera room for 18 years.
Richard was an artist, winning many blue ribbons at the Delaware State Fair for his mixed media pieces. He devoured books, especially Stephen King novels. He was also a master chess player and enjoyed playing against others from around the world in online forums. Richard also loved all the "critters" in his life, often saying "all critters like a little scratch" and he was always happy to provide those scratches.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his younger brother Sammy "Bo" Eashum.
He is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Debra (Debbie) Swift Eashum, his children, Kyle Eashum & Stacy Martin (Ryan) and granddaughters Olivia Martin & Kyra Stenberg; his siblings Dale (Cheryl), Mark, and Julie (Louis) Memmolo as well as nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will take place at Pizzadili Vineyard & Winery, 1683 Peach Basket Rd, Felton, DE on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 2 to 5 pm with honors at 2:30 pm. Please join us for good memories and good food. Casual attire suggested.
Interment will be private at the Delaware Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
