MILFORD - Richard W. Coherd, CEO of Delmarva Historic Haunts passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Richard was born in Bethesda, Md. He worked at the White House as a florist for President Richard Nixon, President Gerald Ford and President Jimmy Carter. He then worked as an HVAC technician in building services for the Montgomery County School District. He was the CEO of Delmarva Historic Haunts leading tours throughout the Delmarva Peninsula, volunteered at Fort Delaware as an interpreter and was a park ranger at Little Bennett Park, Clarksburg, Md. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Jeanne; his children, Will Coherd, Kelley Coherd and Jeffery Coherd; his mother, Dee Coherd; his grandchildren, Tyler and Riley Coherd; a brother, Mark Cowherd; two sisters, Victoria Reese and Nancy Phifer and two step children, Catherine J. Circo and Michael A. Circo. A Celebration of Richard's Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Reformation Lutheran Church, 613 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, Del. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Reformation Lutheran Church Pastors Discretionary Fund, 613 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, Del. 19963.
