MAGNOLIA - Richard "Rick" W. Carmean III, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. Rick was born, Nov. 5, 1960, in Milford, to the late, Richard W. Carmean, Jr. and Dorothy M. Smith. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan, and enjoyed watching "The Walking Dead" and NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson. Rick listened to various forms of music, and was fond of animals. Rick is survived by his wife of 25 years, Michelle (Heller) Carmean; two daughters, Heidi Maradiaga and Shannon Barber, both of Sussex County; his siblings, Tina Ellis, of Calif.; Mary Herrington, of Texas; Daniel Carmean, of Fla.; Joanne Moore, Sandra Goff, and Nancy Tappan, all of Del.; his in-laws, David and Betty Heller; brother-in-law Jeff and his wife, Donna; sister-in-law Dawn Pritchett and her husband Greg, of Del.; and sister-in-law Allyson Chiprowski and her husband Tom, of Va.; his grandchildren, Wisman, Faythe, Brayden, Jaxson, Mackenzie, Sara, Riley, and Ariela; as well as a host of nieces and nephews; and his four-legged son, faithful companion, and best friend Casey. A Celebration of Life will be held at 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where family and friends may view from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to any animal rescue foundation or to a charity of ones choice.
