Richard Robert Baines, 66 MAGNOLIA - Richard Robert Baines, of Magnolia, died Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Bayhealth at Kent General Hospital. He was 66. Mr. Baines was born in Norfolk, Va., to Frances and the late Ernest Baines. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years retiring in 1985 as a HVAC Specialist. He then worked in civil service at Dover Air Force Base as a construction inspector where he was still currently employed. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, RV'ing, working on cars, BBQ'ing, taking trips to the beach, and walking the trails throughout his property. Mr. Baines was preceded in death by his father, and is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, "Julie" Eduvigis; his mother, Frances Baines of Chesapeake, Va.; two sons, Bobby Baines of Camden, and Tommy Baines of Alaska; four daughters, Jennifer Springstead and her husband Drew of New Mexico, Stephanie Baines of Magnolia, Teri Allen of Florida, and Patti Baines of Alaska; two brothers, Ernest Baines of Norfolk, Va., and Donny Baines of Norfolk; a sister, Laura Baines of Chesapeake, Va.; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Torbert Funeral Chapel, South, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd., Dover. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. with visitation an hour prior, Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, State Street, Dover. Interment with military honors will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
