CAMDEN - Richard P. Haass III passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at home. Mr. Haass was a meat cutter for many years at Save-A-Lot and previously for Food Lion. He loved his animals and family very much and will be greatly missed. Richard is preceded in death by his father Richard P. Haass Jr. He is survived by his mother Ethel K. Taylor of Dover; wife Wanda Haass of Camden; sisters Cheryl Louis and Connie Shahan; brother Ken Birgholtz; his dog Lacy whom he referred to as his "daughter" and numerous extended family. A service will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, www.melvinfuneralhome.com
