Richard M. 'Brownie' Brown Sr. FREDERICA - Richard M. "Brownie" Brown Sr., 63, of Frederica passed away April 30, 2010, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Nov. 5, 1946, in Milford, son of the late Irving and Elizabeth (Morris) Brown. Brownie had worked for Playtex Apparel for 36 years. He enjoyed NASCAR, woodworking, baseball and tinkering. He also did breeding of shih tzus. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Judy Brown; four children, Holly Lapinsky and husband Lane of Georgetown, Richard M. Brown Jr. and wife Kim of Camden, Christal Corson and husband Kevin of Felton, Billi Jo Passwaters and fiance Johnathan of Dover; grandchildren, Macy Cooper of Frederica, Marissa Cooper of Frederica, Charly Cooper of Dover, Tyler Lapinsky and wife Sara of El Paso, Texas, Kurt Lapinsky of Georgetown, Kirstyn Corson of Felton, Brennen Brown of Camden, Mya Brown of Camden, Alyssa Brown of Camden, Chance Thomas of Bridgeville; and two great-grandchildren, Riley Lapinsky and Preston Lapinksy of El Paso, Texas; a sister Phyllis Murphy and husband Robert of Laurel; and his shih tzu and loving companion, Leah. A memorial service was held 1 p.m., Friday, May 7, at the Wyoming United Methodist Church, 216 Wyoming Mill Road, Dover. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
