Richard L. Lofland

MARYDEL - Richard L. Lofland died on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, in the Atlantic General Hospital, Berlin. He was born in Templeville on Sept. 5, 1946, to the late Charles and Maude Simpler Lofland. He had been a grain farmer and equipment operator for Southern States. He enjoyed attending farm sales and yard sales and fishing, boating and camping. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Sue Ann CoChrane. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Margaret 'Peggy' L. Lofland; two daughters, Cara Lynn Tomlinson of Lawrenceburg, Ky. and Tracy Lee Stevens of Marydel; five brothers, Franklin Lofland of Marydel, Earl Lofland of Henderson, Alfred Lofland and Allen Lofland both of Sudlersville, and Bruce Lofland of Felton, Del.; five sisters, Lillian Parker of Hickman, Katherine Ervin of Sudlersville, Dorothy Yeager of Goldsboro, Ruth Ford of Barclay and Ruby Cahall of Ingleside; 13 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday Aug. 10, 2012, in the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, the visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Interment is in the Greensboro Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.fleegleandhelfenbein.com.
