Return Day puts Sussex County history on parade

Sussex County’s Return Day, an election season staple every even year, is lined up again for Nov. 7 in Georgetown.
The postvoting tradition, which reportedly launched in 1812, has only been derailed twice — by the pandemic in 2020 and by the country’s involvement in World War II during the 1940s.
