MAGNOLIA - Miguel P. Cadiz died peacefully surrounded by his family on Nov. 8, 2023 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE.
Born in Ponce Puerto Rico 3, May 1930. He was the second son of late Miguel Cadiz Alvarado
and Mrs. Santos Perez Torres.
Had four brothers and two sisters: posthumously Ramon, posthumously Luz Maria, Roberto, Anthony, Luis, and posthumously Gladys.
First wife, Katie and although divorced they remained great friends until she passed. Then married Noelia Santiago the love of his life, who was taken from us way too early in 1987.
He was fortunate to find love again and leaves Sandra Rice his long time significant other. As well as his four children, Yolanda Ann Cadiz of Ponce P.R., Michael Angelo Vasquez and friend Irene of Ponce P.R., Joseph Michael and daughter in law, Shawn Cadiz of Frederica DE, and Michael Anthony and daughter in law, Stacey Cadiz of Camden DE; ten grandchildren: Joann, Kathilia, Francis, Dagmarie, Daizabet, Mikie, Jessica, Christopher, Destanee, Anthony; 16 great grandchildren: Jozlyn, Kevin, Adriana, Luis, Keylie, Yancys, Alondra, Kenneth, Kevin, Kaydence, Liberty, Gunner, Riley, Landyn, Rylan, Harper; as well as many other nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
Truly loved this country and proudly served in the United States Air Force for 28 years active duty. Although his favorite sport was baseball, he never had a favorite team he just really loved the game! He was a well-rounded individual, had many job titles during his military and civilian careers. Always had a joke and a way of making everyone smile. No matter who he talked to, he loved his family and was most proud of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He just really loved life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:00 AM Wednesday, Nov. 15th at The Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S. State St., Dover, DE. Burial with Full Military Honors will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, DE. Visitation will be held 6PM - 8PM Tuesday, Nov. 14th at The Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, DE. Burial with Full Military Honors will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, DE.
In lieu of flowers family suggests donations in Miguel's memory to Dover AFB Chapel, 417 Tuskegee Blvd., Dover, DE 19902-5050 or Lustgarten Foundation Pancreatic Cancer Research at Lustgarten.org.
