DOVER - Reese Alex Wessel, Jr., passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 90. Reese was born on January 22, 1922, in Sudlersville, Md., son of the late Reese and Fannie Dill Wessel. He was a self-employed carpenter with Breezewood Home Improvement. Reese enjoyed horses, fishing and hunting and was a member of the VFW. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Marie Wessel; his second wife, Marion Case Metheny Wessel; and a grandson, Gary Wessel, Jr. Reese is survived by a son, Gary Wessel, Sr. and his wife Maureen of Dover; his daughter, Beverly Ann Bazan and her husband James of Michigan; grandchildren, Kimberly, Amy, Sean and Alex; and five great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE., where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
