Raymond W. Brown, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 15, 2015. He passed away at the Seaford Center Nursing Home. He was born in Harrington to the late Elmer and Eunice Brown. For over 47 years, "Brownie" repaired televisions and owned his own TV repair business. He enjoyed working on the electronics and meeting new people. He also enjoyed helping at the Delaware State Fair, working on their sounds systems and also helping with the videoing of the horse races. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping and riding through the countryside looking at all the wild life. His morning routine consisted of going out to Arby's and having a cup of coffee with the "mens group" who met there regularly. "Brownie" was known for his corn cob humor and his friendliness. He was always willing to help others and loved being around people. He will be sadly missed. "Brownie" belonged to the Delaware Antique Auto Club, Manship Chapel, and attended the Pilgrim Chapel of Harrington. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Raye Brown; granddaughter, Annie Elisabeth Brown; siblings, Clayton Brown, Louis Brown, Edwin Brown, Melvin Brown, and Elma Coverdale. Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Regina C. Brown of Harrington; sons, Stephen G. (Bobbie) Brown of Harrington, Aubrey T. (Gail) Brown of Harrington; Daughter, Tracy (Greg) Reed of Houston; sister, Norma Jean Bradley of Denton; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Friday, June 19th, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, at 1 PM. A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Hollywood Cemetery.
