Murphy, 62 DOVER- Raymond Joseph Murphy, formerly of Weston, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Ray was born, Oct. 4, 1950, in New London, Conn., to Anna E.(Burke) Whitlock, and the late Donald W. Murphy. He served proudly in the United States Army. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother John P. Murphy. Raymond is survived by three children Lisa M. Class, of Baltimore,Md., Jessica Frederick, of Lutherville, Md.; and Raymond J. Murphy, II, of Baltimore, Md.; his mother Anna E. Whitlock, of Dover; and five siblings William E. Murphy, of Baltimore, Md.; Donald W. Murphy, of Kitty Hawk, N.C., Richard J. Murphy, of Dover, Del.; Marjorie Murphy, of Baltimore, Md.; and Karen Chidester, of Hartly, Del. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory, to the Disabled American Veterans, 183 South St., Camden, DE 19934. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
