Raymond Rusden Sr., 68

CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Raymond A. Rusden Sr., 68, born in Philadelphia and moved to Chestertown, MD to remodel Rolph's Wharf Inn Bed and Breakfast in 1985 with his wife to be innkeepers. He went home and joined his heavenly father on Dec. 31 from the Chester River Hospital in Chestertown. His interest included home remodeling, golf, fishing, yard sales and surfing his TV. He was looking forward to traveling. He loved spending time at the Alano Club in Chestertown, cutting up with many friends and special friends, Patrick Dickerson, Loren, Tim and Bryan. Beloved husband of Eileen for 48 years; devoted father of Patricia D'Angelo and husband Joseph of Philadelphia, Raymond A. Rusden Jr. and fiancee Anna Hougentogler of Chestertown, and Michael Joseph Rusden of Chestertown; loving grandfather of Joseph D'Angelo and wife Nicole of Cinnaminson, N.J., Mark D'Angelo and wife Nicole of Glenolden, Pa., and Catherine of Chestertown; proud great-grandfather of Mark Jr. and Julionna Rose of Glenolden; brother of William Edward Rusden and wife Rita of Philadelphia; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be greatly missed by his faithful companion Molly, his Chesapeake Bay retriever, whom he loved so dearly. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, High Street, Chestertown, on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 10 a.m., where friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alano Club, 932 Washington Ave. Chestertown, MD 21620. Arrangements by Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, Galena.
