MILFORD - Randy Wayne Harp, of Milford, formerly of Punxsutawney, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Friday, Mar. 28, 2014 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, Del. Randy was born in Punxsutawney, Pa., the son of Olive (Kiehl) Harp and the late Wayne Harp. He was a graduate of Punxsutawney High School in 1975 and graduated from Clarion State College in 1979 with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Education. In September of 1980, Randy married the love of his life Beverly Susan Hetrick. In 1995, Randy continued with his education, receiving his Masters Degree from Wilmington College in School Leadership and Instruction. Randy worked as a teacher for the Milford School District for 23 years until becoming ill. He was an active member of the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, serving as a Deacon of the church, was a member of the Milford Education Association, and the Milford Lions Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers play, playing card games, doing a little gardening and yard work, but most importantly, spending time with his family. He loved people and especially the kids. The Lord had given him a calling to be a teacher, and his life was a testimony to his calling. Randy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Beverly S. Harp; two sons, Joshua Wayne Harp and his wife Jennifer, of N.C. and Andrew Donald Harp, of Pa.; grandchildren, Logan Wayne Harp and Kyleigh Grace Harp; his mother, Olive Harp, of Punxsutawney, Pa.; a brother, Larry Harp, of PA.; and two sisters, Lu Ann Hetrick of Ohio and Judy Kennedy, of PA., as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. and again from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Mar. 31, 2014 at the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington, DE.
