Randolph Gaylord Hagen

Randolph 'Randy' Gaylord Hagen NEWARK, DEL - Randolph (Randy) Gaylord Hagen, age 72, died peacefully in Newark, on Sunday June 6th, 2010. Born May 21st 1938 in Greenbush, Minnesota, to Frederick of Modum, Norway and Esther Hagen of Minnesota. He attended Greenbush High School and graduated in 1956. Randy had a distinguished career in the US Air force. Although he considered Dover, Delaware to be his home, his career as a Nuclear Safety Reliance Engineer took him to many places around the country until retiring in 2003. Randy will be especially remembered for his wit, humor, and charm. He was an outgoing and generous person and had a real love for life and love for his children. Survivors include his children, Linda Nissink of Mendham, N.J., Randolph Hagen of Smyrna, Del., Paul Hagen of Newark, Del., Eric Hagen of Dallas, Texas, and Phillip Hagen of Newark, Del.; and his many grandchildren; as well as sisters, Helen, Marian, and Doris. Randy is preceded in death by parents, Frederick and Esther Hagen; and his daughter, Juanita Hagen Smart; siblings, Dee, Hugo, Lief, Dale, Wallace, Jerry, Karen, and Loraine. He died after a long, happy life filled with family, hard work and lots of jokes, and to the end, never lost his appreciation for life, and his special friendship to the mother of his children Pauline Hagen. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 11th at Pippin Funeral Home 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave, Wyoming Delaware 19934. Letters of condolences can be sent to www.pippinfuneralhome.com
