HARRINGTON - Ramon Barry Armstrong, Jr., passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at home. Ramon was born Dec. 18, 1972 in Wilmington, to the late Ramon and Catherine Armstrong, Sr. He worked as a police officer for 18 years serving New Castle, the Town of Clayton and Smyrna. Ramon was a life member of the Delaware City fire Company and a member of the Kent County F.O.P. Lodge #15. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing and boating but especially spending time with his family. Ramon is survived by his wife of five and a half years, Ericka Armstrong, of Harrington; daughter, Brooke Armstrong, of Middletown; and stepson, Max Robichaud, of Harrington. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in the Delaware City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to MELA Foundation, Inc., 275 Church Street, New York, N.Y. 10013.
