Question of the Day: ‘If you care, leave them there’

Here is the Question of the Day:

In spring, people sometimes find and try to rescue baby creatures, such as birds or fawns. But taking a young animal from the wild almost always means that it will not survive, says the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control. While the animal or bird can appear to be abandoned, most often, they are not, with their mothers nearby, waiting for the person who “discovered” their offspring to leave the area. While you’ve been out hiking, bicycling or running along the beach, what wildlife have you encountered recently?
