Question of the Day: How are you celebrating Independence Day?

Posted

Here is the Question of the Day:

Along with family gatherings and cookouts, mainstays of the Fourth of July experience are festivals and fireworks. In the First State, reenactments of public readings of the Declaration of Independence are also observed where the document was first read to citizens in 1776. Such an event will be hosted at the Old State House in New Castle at 2 p.m. Saturday, and Dover will memorialize the declaration around 2 p.m. Tuesday. Fireworks fun begins at dusk in these locations: on Sunday in Rehoboth Beach and on Tuesday in Dover, Smyrna, Lewes, Dewey Beach, Laurel, Wilmington, Newark and Hockessin. Plus, the Wilmington Blue Rocks will host fireworks at their game July 7. More information on these and other festivities throughout the region can be found on the Finally Friday! pages in the newspaper and at https://baytobaynews.com/things-to-do.
