It’s Home Fire Sprinkler Week, and a recent demonstration in two burn rooms at the Delaware Fire School made clear the benefits of sprinklers: furniture incinerated beyond recognition in one room and undamaged pieces in the other. It’s also a time to emphasize the need for recruitment and retention of volunteer firefighters in Delaware. Are you a firefighter? What’s the best part of the work you do?
