Police investigating pawn shop burglary in Dover

DOVER — The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary at Capital Pawn early Thursday, spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said.

Authorities said investigation began when officers were called to the business at 324 Martin Street at 2:58 a.m. for an alarm. Officers responded and noticed that a suspect had forced entry into the side of the building. Officers entered the business and checked for suspects with negative results, police said.

The ensuing investigation revealed that the suspect entered the business, and once inside, stole several items and damaged property. The suspect is described as a male with thin build, police said.
