Another autumn weekend brings the opportunity for some interesting local football games.

Most teams are beginning the second half of their schedules with several schools celebrating homecoming on Friday or Saturday.

Here's our predictions for all the games:

Andy Walter, Delaware State News: 57-18
Tim Mastro, Delaware State News: 58-17
Glenn Frazer, 302 Sports: 59-16

Friday’s games

Seaford (1-1, 4-1) at First State Military (0-2, 2-4), 3:30 p.m.

The Bulldogs have won two in a row but the Blue Jays have two weeks to get ready for this matchup.

AW: Seaford, 38-7; TM: Seaford, 33-13; GF: Seaford, 28-14.

Cape Henlopen (0-1, 3-2) at Caesar Rodney (0-2, 0-6), 7 p.m.

Vikings look to pick up their first win in district while also spoiling Riders’ homecoming night.

AW: Cape Henlopen, 38-6; TM: Cape Henlopen, 35-7; GF: Cape Henlopen, 21-0.

Dover (2-0, 5-1) at Sussex Central (0-1, 4-1), 7 p.m.

The Senators take a five-game winning streak into a big Class 3A, District II showdown in Georgetown.

AW: Dover, 24-21; TM: Dover, 28-24; GF: Dover, 21-17.

Mergenthaler, Md. (3-2) at Smyrna (4-1), 7 p.m.

Smyrna has been a very difficult to beat lately, especially when it’s giving up just 5.4 points per game.

AW: Smyrna, 34-7; TM: Smyrna, 36-21; GF: Smyrna, 30-14.

Woodbridge (1-1, 1-4) at Caravel (2-0, 5-0), 7 p.m.

The Blue Raiders face a tough task going up against a Buccaneer squad that’s scoring 43.6 points per game.

AW: Caravel, 44-7; TM: Caravel, 33-13; GF: Caravel, 24-18.

Wilmington Charter (5-0) at Early College (0-5), 7 p.m.

Undefeated Charter has really blossomed in Class 1A while Hornets are still trying to find their way.

AW: Charter, 33-6; TM: Charter, 35-6; GF: Charter, 42-0.

Saturday’s games

Red Lion Christian (2-1, 3-2) at Lake Forest (1-1, 4-1), 11:30 a.m.

On their homecoming, Spartans will try to cool off a Red Lion team that’s won two games in a row.

AW: Lake Forest, 28-14; TM: Lake Forest, 21-20; GF: Lake Forest, 28-27.

Odessa (3-0, 3-2) at Laurel (2-0, 5-0), noon

The Bulldogs beat Odessa by 42 points a year ago but the Duks are more competitive this season.

AW: Laurel, 31-14; TM: Laurel, 35-21; GF: Laurel, 28-14.

Sussex Tech (1-2, 3-3) at Delmar (2-1, 2-3), 1:30 p.m.

Ravens are out to avenge last year’s 17-point loss to the Wildcats, who celebrating their homecoming.

AW: Delmar, 19-12; TM: Delmar, 14-10; GF: Delmar, 14-8.

College

Delaware State (0-0, 3-2) at Norfolk State (1-0, 1-5), 2 p.m.

The Hornets had an open date to prepare for their MEAC opener, but it’s never easy to win on the road.

AW: Norfolk, 28-24; TM: Norfolk, 20-10; GF: DelState, 17-13.
