(nee Porter), 80 SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Phyllis "Dot" Hall (nee Porter), 80, left us on March 12, 2012, in Sacramento, Calif. She was born on Beaver St. in Greenwood Del., Nov. 10, 1931, to D. Lester and Maude S. Porter. She was married briefly to jazz trombonist, Bob Brookmeyer. She later married businessman Rolf Hall of New Jersey. She is survived by son, Lyle Hall of Philadelphia; and daughter, Virginia Walker of Sacramento. She graduated Milford High School and Pierce Business School in Philadelphia, and spent most of her working career as a legal secretary in New York City. But one of her favorite jobs was working for the Children's Services Bureau in Milford, to which she returned in later years. A lover of music, literature, film, and television, she was a great Jeopardy player and a charming companion. Services were private. Condolences may be emailed to the family at lpvh@verizon.net.
