Phyllis E. Schaffer, 79 MIDDLETOWN - Phyllis E. Schaffer, 79, of Middletown, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009. She leaves many wonderful memories to her loving husband of 59 years, Russell R. Schaffer; two sons, Russell B. Schaffer of Palm City, Fla., and David Schaffer of Wilmington; a daughter, Lorraine Egbert of Oxford, Pa.; two sisters, Frances Cheeseman and Margie Whiteford; and six grandchildren. Family and friends may visit Tuesday evening, Dec. 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 30, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 371 E. Main Street, Middletown. Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear. www.daniels-hutchison.com
