FELTON — Winning pitcher Carah Sumpter went 3-for-4 as Lake Forest High downed St. Georges, 11-2, in non-conference softball on Saturday afternoon.
The victory kept the Spartans (5-0) undefeated. They led 6-2 before putting up four more runs in the fourth inning.
Sumpter pitched a three-hitter, struck out six and walked only one. Rylan Rust, Riley Bell, and Sumpter drove in two runs each while Bayli Glanden had three of the 12 walks that Lake Forest took advantage of.
Rihanna Joswick homered for the Hawks while Meadow Sutton went 2-for-3.
