SMYRNA — Caravel built a 19-point lead by halftime before downing Smyrna, 71-57, in girls’ basketball on Tuesday night.
Sophomore Amiayh Ellerbe finished with 25 points after sinking five of the Eagles’ eight three-pointers in the contest.
Kai Burnette added 20 points for Smyrna (11-5), which out-scored the Buccaneers, 24-16, in the fourth quarter.
Caravel improved to 15-2 after winning its sixth straight game.
