SMYRNA — Caesar Rodney High netted six unanswered second-quarter goals to take control in a 17-7 win over Smyrna in Henlopen Conference girls’ lacrosse on Monday afternoon.
The Riders took a 10-3 halftime advantage before improving to 4-0 in conference, 5-2 overall with its third win in a row.
Elle Roberts netted four goals and three assists while Brooke Roberts and Delaney Miklus both added three goals and an assist apiece. Eight players scored goals for CR.
Goalie Ava Brown made eight saves for the Riders.
Gillian Shane scored twice for the Eagles, who dropped to 4-1 in conference, 6-1 overall after suffering their first loss.
