KENNEDYVILLE, Md. - Phillip Kendall Wallace died on December 9, 2020 at Compass Regional Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Kennedyville on November 30, 1967 the son of Paul Wayne and Phyllis Kendall Wallace of Kennedyville, Md.
After graduating from Kent County High School in 1985 he went to work in the Refinery Industry working with Georgia Gulf Refinery and most recently Delaware City Refining. He worked with Delaware City until his illness. On May 19, 1990 Phil married Rebekah Price of Chestertown, they made their home in his hometown of Kennedyville.
Phil loved the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed crabbing and gardening. He was a member of Kennedyville United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife and parents; Phil is survived by a son, Phillip Kendall Wallace, Jr. of Kennedyville, Md.; two daughters, Logan Teal Melson (Josh) of Galena, Md. and Alayni Kathleen Wallace of Kennedyville, Md.; a brother, Paul Wayne Wallace, Jr. (Violet) of Galena, Md.; a sister-in-law, Jennifer Knapp of Chestertown; two nieces, Courtney Wallace of Galena and Ashley Knapp of Chestertown; one nephew, Zachary Knapp of Chestertown; and one great nephew, Michael James (MJ) Plummer, Jr. He is also survived by his in-laws, Nancy Teal and Frank Price both of Chestertown.
Services were held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 7 p.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road Chestertown where relatives and friends are invited to visit from 5 - 7 p.m. Due to covid-19 restrictions the service was also live-streamed at 7 p.m. www.fhnfuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Compass Regional Hospice, 160 Coursevall Dr., Centreville, MD 21617.
