MARYDEL, Md. - Phillip K. Whitlock, of Marydel, formerly of Betterton, died June 14, 2008, in his home. He was 55.
Mr. Whitlock was born March 31, 1953, in Elkton, son of Joseph S. Whitlock Sr. and the late Elizabeth Biddle Whitlock.
He was employed by the Maryland State Highway Administration as an engineering technician, working in Cecil, Kent and Queen Anne's counties, retiring after 31 years of service.
Mr. Whitlock was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Goldsboro, and at the time of his death served as a trustee.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking and spending time with his family.
Mr. Whitlock is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Robin Seal Whitlock; twin sons whom he was devoted to, Zekiel Kika Whitlock and Caleb Kona Whitlock, both of the home; his father, Joseph S. Whitlock Sr. of Earleville; a brother, Joseph S. Whitlock Jr. of Marydel; two sisters, Anna Walls and her family of Cecilton and Lynn Singleton and her family of Earleville; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alice and Jack Seal of Linthicum; and a brother-in-law, Stewart Seal and his family of Silver Spring.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., where friends may call after 10 a.m.
Interment will be held privately.
Memorials may be offered to the Zekiel and Caleb's Educational Trust Fund, c/o PNC Bank, P.O. Box 28, Marydel, MD 21649.
