SMYRNA - Phillip H. Stubbs of died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at home. Mr. Stubbs was born on March 13, 1942, in Fayetville, N.C. He retired with honors as an Aircraft Mechanic from the USAF and then worked as a Truck Driver for many years. Phillip loved fishing and his truck. He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Blake Stubbs. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen; a son, Marvin Dale Stubbs; three grandchildren, Jessica, Adrian, and Dylan Stubbs; three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Kylie, and Blake; and his best friend, Bruce Carroll. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May, 20, 2013 at 7 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna, DE. where friends may call at 6 p.m. Burial with full military honors will be held at a later date.
