Philip R. Wactor Jr.

Philip R. Wactor Jr., 83 DOVER - Philip R. Wactor Jr., 83, of Dover, passed away on Feb. 4, 2010, due to heart complications. Born in Elloree, S.C., son of the late Philip R. Wactor Sr. and Margaret Wactor, he served in the United States Navy during WWII and graduated from Newberry College in South Carolina. He was employed with the United States Public Health Services for 31 years. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, L. V. Wactor; and two daughters, Elva Damron and her husband Mark of Maryland, and Phyllis Malkiewicz and her husband Steven of Virginia. He is also survived by three grandsons, Mark Judy and Ryan and Jason Malkiewicz. Memorial services will be 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 11, at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover. A gathering of family and friends will be one hour before the time of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Wactor's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 1151 Walker Road, Suite 202, Dover, DE 19904.
