I would like to take a moment to publicly thank Dover City Councilman Brian Lewis for his steadfast support of our local homeless veterans. In a time when it is easy for words to outweigh actions, the councilman has consistently demonstrated genuine commitment, by supporting and honoring those who served our country and have fallen on difficult financial situations.
From attending local ceremonies to supporting our veterans to volunteering at Janie’s Hands Veterans Transitional Home to feeding and providing monetary gifts, the councilman has left a mark. His efforts not only recognize the courage of our veterans but ensure they receive the dignity and assistance they deserve.
On behalf of Janie’s Hands and our homeless veterans, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Councilman Lewis for leading with compassion and action.
