Penaranda and Kotowski: Read Aloud appreciates support through Wine and Dine

Posted

We would like to express our thanks to everyone who made the Wine and Dine event to benefit Read Aloud Delaware on Wednesday a success.

The management and staff at the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel and Victoria’s Restaurant provided an evening of excellent wines and delicious food.

Thanks to the owners, the Zerby family, who are longtime supporters of Read Aloud Delaware. Special thanks also go to Kathy Townsend, Victoria’s beverage director and the evening’s emcee, plus manager Lesley Desautels, chef Jared Martin and servers Kai Whitehead, Ana Roman and Cristina Castillo.

Many thanks, as well, to the local merchants that donated items for our very successful silent auction.

The generosity of those in attendance will help Read Aloud continue its mission to create lifelong impact through early childhood literacy and to support parents of children birth to age 3 through its free LENA Start program.
