BRIDGEVILLE - Paula L. (Mountain) Vermeire, of Bridgeville, lost her courageous fight with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at her home, with family at her side.

Paula was a devout Christian and all who knew her experienced her commitment to faith by her spirit, compassion, caring and gentle nature.

She immensely enjoyed being with and a part of her family, and tending to her home and garden.

Paula was the caring and devoted wife of Gregory J. Vermeire; perpetual "mother" and best friend to Michelle L. Brooks, Victoria E.S. Vermeire and David V. Vermeire; loving daughter of George and Sandra Mountain; and devoted sister of Steven D. and wife Nancy Mountain and Georgette Rice and husband Mike.

She is also survived by her nephews and nieces.

Christian funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Union United Methodist Church, Second and Laws streets, Bridgeville, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow at Bridgeville Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Bridgeville.
