Patty Sue Pierce, 72 OKEECHOBEE - Patty Sue Pierce, age 72, of Okeechobee, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at her residence. Born June 13, 1937, in Sylacauga, Ala., she had been a resident of Okeechobee for the past 15 years. She is survived by her husband, Gerald R. Pierce. She is survived by her son, David Pierce (Pamela) of Okeechobee; granddaughter, Heather Palacios of Okeechobee, Kandice Reeves of Tampa; grandsons, Christopher Pierce and Shaun Reeves; granddaughters, Crystal Reeves, Jessica Carter of Okeechobee; great-grandchildren, Aiyana Palacios, Laila Montijo, Chase Reeves, Paige Bolen, Kayla Hood, Nevaeh Reeves, all of Okeechobee, and Emily Clay of Tampa. In addition she is survived by her sister, Lucky Haley of Arizona; brother, Billy Teel (Bridgette) of Colorado; nephews, Ronny Tommy, and Danny; and niece, Karen. There will be no public services or visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray cost. All arrangements are under the care and direction of the Buxton Funeral Home and Crematory, 110 NE 5th Street, Okeechobee. On-line condolences may be made at www.buxtonfuneralhome.com.
