Pattie Lavern Pinkard McGhee, 76
DOVER - Pattie Lavern Pinkard McGhee passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Kent General Hospital.
Mrs. McGhee was born January 30, 1945, in Marianna, Florida to the late Willis J. Pinkard and Flora Dudley Pinkard. She had attended Lady Ethel's Beauty School in Panama City, Fla.
She had graduated from Delaware State University and worked as a teacher for 16 years at MOT School District. Mrs. McGhee enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Felton.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse McGhee, Sr.; son, Jesse McGhee, Jr.; sisters, Hattie, Floria and Williemae Pinkard; brother, Clarrence Pinkard; stepsister, Diane.
She is survived by her daughter, Willeatha Wilson of New Castle; daughter-in-law, Terri McGhee; son-in-law, Anthony Wilson; brother, Lawrence Pinkard of Panama City, Fla.; sister, Louise Ford of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, DaRon, Jaida, Saniya and Sakiya McGhee, Tiya Pinkard and Kara Henry; great grandchildren, Tyair Burley, Jaceiona Johnson, Zavian McGhee and Quadir White; a host of step siblings, nieces, and nephews.
A virtual memorial service will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Felton's website.
