DOVER, DE - Patricia Maureen (Drohan) Murphy died on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. Patricia was born March 17, 1940, in the Bronx, New York, the daughter of the late Mary (Tobin) Drohan and Patrick Drohan.
Patricia married the love of her life, best friend, and business partner John W. Murphy in 1959. They lived in Portsmouth New Hampshire for over 35 years until they retired to Delaware in 2012.
In 1968, Patricia and John founded Atlantic Management Company, a Valuation and Financial Advisory firm located in Portsmouth, NH. The company thrived under their tenure and continues under the able leadership of their son, John P. Murphy.
She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Murphy in 2014; two sisters, Maureen and Ann; and three brothers, Thomas, David, and John.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Theresa M. Murphy (Frances Cardaci) of Dover, DE; her sons, John P. Murphy (Jill Hutchins), of Dover, NH, and Kevin M. Murphy (Debra Rio), of Marlborough, MA; her sister, Clare Drohan (Melissa Aldrich), of Millsboro, DE; and two brothers, Mike Drohan, of Lewes, DE, and Kevin Drohan (Candis Paceley) of Newark, DE. She is also survived by her pride and joy, her grandchildren, Courtney, Kate and Sean of Dover, NH.
There are no calling hours. A celebration of life gathering will be held later.
