DOVER -- Patricia Irvin passed away at 4:50 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2009, at the Capitol Healthcare Services in Dover. Born Sept. 27, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wis., she was the daughter of Roman and Anna (Petrowski) Miotke. Pat graduated in 1950 from Messmer High School of Milwaukee. She was a violinist and First Mistress of the Milwaukee County Symphony Orchestra, during her younger years she was a long distance swimmer, an avid golfer, and a caring mother and spouse. She was employed by H&R Block as a tax preparer in Michigan, and was self employed as a tax preparer and consultant in Tennessee. She was also employed with the St. Joseph Hospital of Mount Clemens, Mich. She enjoyed her worldly travels with her husband throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Anthony "Tony" Irvin Sr.; her children, Cynthia Nugent of Santa Rosa, Calif., Michael of Egg Harbor Township, N.J.y, Theresa Scott of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Anthony "Tony" Irvin Jr. of Santa Rosa; her sister, June Joy of Milwaukee; and five granddaughters. Patricia was a breast cancer survivor, therefore the family requests donations be made to the local American Cancer Society in her honor. Services will be private at the family's convenience. Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home.
