Patricia Glass, 82
DOVER - Patricia Glass passed away, Sunday, January 17, 2021 at home.
Our mom was born March 17, 1938 in Emmitsburg, Maryland to the late Charles and Virginia Baughter Ott.
She was primarily a homemaker, who devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She opened her home to her first grandson, Patrick who became her primary caretaker until her passing. Mom loved talking with her children and grandchildren on the phone, especially enjoyed when we all came home to visit. She looked forward to those visits every summer.
Mom helped home school her great-granddaughter, Savannah when COVID-19 closed the schools. She was the rock of our family. The one we would call to vent to, to laugh with, and to share gossip. We will miss her immensely. Mom's faith never wavered. She is now home in heaven watching over us, free from pain. She enjoyed the beach, arranging flowers, going to the casino, and exercising.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death her husband of 54 years, John Glass.
She is survived by children, Jacquelyn Romeo and her husband Gerry of South Dakota, Jamie Hale of Maine, Jeannie Silver and her husband Bob of Magnolia, Jody Doolittle and her husband Jeff of Iowa, John Glass and his wife Tracey of Ohio, and Joyce Kelly of Florida; grandchildren, Patrick, Jeffrey, Jessica, Cody, Samantha, Chase, Mackenzie, Brittany and Anthony; great grandchildren, Reegan, Jaxon, Savannah, and Jaylynn; and brother Richard Ott; and her beloved dog, Peanut.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, Del. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
