Patricia Fouracre
Lafferty, 94
Patricia Fouracre Lafferty passed away peacefully with her children by her side, on September 30, 2021. She was born and raised in Middletown, Del. and most recently lived at Westminster Village Senior Living, in Dover, Del.
She graduated from Middletown High School in 1944, and Delaware State Hospital Nursing School as a registered nurse in 1948. She continued in the field of nursing for 41 years, working at Kent General Hospital, Wesley College, the Blood Bank at Delaware Hospital, Delaware Home and Hospital, and Private Duty Nursing.
Pat thoroughly enjoyed participating in her high school reunions and was always on the planning committee. She had just attended her 71st reunion along with a handful of classmates. She loved to socialize with people and attend parties. She was active in her Church Asbury United Methodist in Smyrna. Pat always thought of others first, often taking breakfasts or dinners to shut in friends. She enjoyed many hobbies and loved her sweet treats! She even took cross country motorcycle rides in her 60's with her husband, Bill. She never missed sending out a birthday card to her family and friends and taught her children and grandchildren how to be kind and generous. She will be sadly missed by everyone she touched.
Patricia is survived by her brother Claude Fouracre of Miami, Fla.; children, Allen P. Willey (Debbie) of Fort Myers, Fla., Steven G. Willey of New Orleans, La., and Catherine L. Willey of St. Croix, VI; her grandchildren, Brian Willey (Laura), Jason Willey (Megan), Blake Willey (Patricia), Molly Vicknair (Daniel), and Gary Schenck; her great grandchildren, Alex (Jordan) Whitaker, Jacqueline Willey, Leanne Willey, Hudson Willey, Wyatt Johnson, Peyton Willey, and Izabella Willey.
She was predeceased by her two husbands, Pert Willey and Bill Lafferty; her companion of many years, Lou Hagerty; her sisters, Nanny Lou Hammond and Carolyn Davis; her daughter, Melissa Schenck; and her granddaughter, Allison Willey.
A Memorial Service will be held in January 2022 to commemorate her 95th birthday, at Asbury Methodist Church in Smyrna, Del.
