ELKTON, Md. - Patricia Elizabeth Turulski Conn Traynor, of Elkton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Union Hospital from complications of COPD. She was 72. Born Feb. 9, 1939, in Wilmington, Pat worked for and studied at Widener Law School in Wilmington to become a paralegal. She also worked for the University of Delaware and the State of Delaware, Division of Public Health up until her retirement. Pat enjoyed watching Court TV ("OJ is innocent"), loved the outdoors (especially her special spot on the creek in her backyard and reading a good book in the sun) and she loved to paint. Boy did she love to paint…anything in sight! Most of all she loved her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, William (Bill) Traynor of Elkton; five children and eight grandchildren, Natalie, Rick and Michael and Katie Patton of Magnolia/Newark, Chris, Maria and Lauren, Samantha, Andrew and Jessica Conn of Swedesboro, N.J., Patrick, Evelyn and Emily, Danielle Conn of Clayton, Anthony, Lisa and Tony, Jr. Conn of Middletown, and Bill (BT) Traynor of Kansas; brothers, Leon Turulski of Elkton, Md., and Mark Turulski of Felton; sisters, Carol and Leo Pijanowski of New Castle, Lori and Jim Wyatt of Richmond, Va., and Joyce Turulski of Wilmington. Also her aunts, Kitty Zackowski and Trudy Callahan; tons of cousins, nieces and nephews; and the Traynor/McCracken family. She was preceded by her parents Edward, Sr. and Mary Turulski; a brother, Edward Turulski, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Trudy (Tootie) Turulski; nephews, Gary Turulski and Nicholas Neville; aunt, Dot Reen; and uncle, Joe Riddle. Each and every member of her family meant the world to her and brought great joy to her life as well as her friends, co-workers and other special people in her life. Pat cherished relationships and placed no value on material things. She will be dearly missed and set an example for us to follow: Live Simply, Laugh Often, Love Deeply. Arrangements have been made for a gathering to celebrate her life on April 9, 2011. For more information contact rickandnatalie@verizon.net.
