Patricia Elizabeth Pleasanton Bishop, 78

DOVER - Patricia Elizabeth Pleasanton Bishop, age 78, of Dover, passed away on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at her home with family. She was born on Aug. 15, 1931, in Middletown, to the late Benjamin and Viola Marker Pleasanton. She was a member of Modern Maturity Senior Center in Dover. She was married to her late husband Morris in 1949. They lived in Middletown and then moved to Dover. She helped write and publish a seafood cookbook. She loved flowers, sewing, and yard sales. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris R. Bishop in May 2004; and a special friend and companion, Henry Minner. The family gives a special thanks to Delaware Hospice and also to a very special cousin and friend, Hilda Bishop. She is survived by her son and very special daughter-in-law, Philip M. Bishop Sr. and Betty "Beth" Langston Bishop of Newark; a brother, Benjamin H. Pleasanton and his wife Jerri of Middletown; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Remembrance services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, in the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover. Friends may call at noon in the funeral home. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Letters of condolence may be sent to wwww.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com
