BRIDGEVILLE - Patricia Anne Stewart passed away on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014. Patricia, known to her family and friends as Pat, loving wife of William Stewart passed away at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford while battling an illness. Patricia was a stay-at-home mother to her five children until they reached middle school age. While her children attended school, Patricia earned an Associate's degree in Data Processing from Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown. She worked as a computer programmer for a bank processing center for many years. As a full time working mom, Patricia enjoyed many hobbies, including reading, roller skating, knitting, traveling and spending time with her family. Patricia retired 16 years ago. During retirement Patricia, an FAA licensed pilot, spent many hours flying the six-seat aircraft she shared with her husband, William, also an FAA licensed pilot out of their own backyard. Patricia will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, William Stewart; two sisters, Rosemary Laikowski and Terry Totillo; five children, Patricia Robinson, William Stewart Jr, Teresa Wolfson, Rosemary Hartman and Helen Karkoska; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services and burial will be private.
