Patricia Ann Mercer Spencer Brown passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023. Patricia was born on July 8, 1936, in Dover, Delaware to the late Grace and Paul P. Spencer.
Patricia was raised in Smyrna, Clayton, and Wilmington before returning to Dover. In Dover, she worked for Howard Lynch Law Offices and as a part of Public Service at the Dover City Building. Patricia retired as a judicial secretary for Family Court. She was also a member of Peoples Church of Dover.
In addition to her parents; Patricia was preceded in death by the love of her life, James Austin; daughter, Laurie Grace Davies.
Patricia is survived by her brother, Paul M. Spencer of Dover; "her girls" the twins, Jasmine and Jordan Chase; and by many friends who are like family; as well as extended family.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Odd Fellows Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
