HARRINGTON - Patricia A. Wroten, of Harrington, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at the Milford Hospice Center, surrounded by her family. She was 70. Mrs. Wroten was a telephone operator for Bell telephone for many years. After retirement, she worked for Disney World during the winter months while staying in her winter home. In her spare time, she enjoyed ceramics, making and collecting porcelain dolls, and collecting Disney memorabilia. She enjoyed spending her time at the beach in the summer and Florida in the winter. She loved to window shop and enjoyed a good sale. She will be remembered as a quiet soft spoken woman who had a strong will. Her family was her life, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be forever missed. Mrs. Wroten was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, and the Harrington High Alumni. She was preceded in death by her father, William Bonniwell of Harrington; and brother, Raymond "Baby Ray" Bonniwell. In addition to mother, Frances Bonniwell, she is survived by her loving husband, Lewis K. Wroten of Harrington; sons and daughter-in-law, Randy and Robin Wroten of Greenwood, and Steven Wroten of Laurel; brothers, Robert Bonniwell and wife Sue of Dover, and Larry Bonniwell and wife Pat of Seaford; sisters, Rose Bishop of Harrington, Linda McBride and husband Kevin of New Bern, N.C., and Barbara Cox and husband Dennis of Harrington; and four grandchildren, Scott, Brittany, Laurie Beth and Taylor. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
