Patricia A. Fanning

MILFORD - Patricia A. Fanning, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Bayhealth/Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 61. Patricia was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Louis and Lilly A. (Morris) Meekins. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Memorial Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for 26 years, where she volunteered for functions too numerous to mention. She was also a member of the Milford Grange for 20 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son; and a brother, Walter Meekins. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert H. Fanning; a son, Robert L. Fanning of Milford; two grandchildren, Emilyee Wright Fanning and Sydney Vail; a sister, Paula Haas of Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; a best friend, Katherine Vickers of Milford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 12 noon Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Memorial Volunteer Fire Company Hall, Bay Road, Slaughter Beach, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
