HARTLY - Pansy "Pat" Taraila, age 72, of Hartly, died Oct. 8, 2010. Born in Clinchco, Va., as a real 'Coal Miner's Daughter' to the late Olan and Nora Davis Powers. She later had moved to the Hartly area where she served as a Postal Worker for the Hartly Post Office until her retirement. Mrs. Taraila had been an active parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church for many years and had been a founding member of the Little League of Marydel. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was always willing to lend her hand with the chores of the family farm. Pat enjoyed Pottery, Ceramics and knitting and in her quieter moments she was often found reading. She will be remembered as being a kind and gentle person who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Annetta Gunter. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Taraila of Hartly; daughter, Darlene Hutson and spouse Tom of Hartly; three sons, Raymond Taraila, Jr. and spouse Sue of Dover, Gregory Taraila of Marydel, and Timothy Taraila and spouse Angel of Hartly; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Schultz, Timothy Taraila, Raymond Taraila III, Jamie Taraila, Julia Taraila, Delainy Taraila, and Joe Berry; and twogreat-grandchildren, Sammy and Madison Schultz. Also survived by her brother-in-law, John Gunter of Marydel; and two brothers, Mitchell Powers and wife Irene of Alexandria, Va., and Raymond Powers of Frederick, Md. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m., at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m., Thursday, in the Immaculate Conception Church, Marydel, Md. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Dover.
