...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM EDT

FOR SOUTHWESTERN SULLIVAN AND NORTHEASTERN WAYNE COUNTIES...

At 417 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Bethel, or 11

miles west of Monticello, moving southeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Emergency management. This storm has a history of producing

widespread wind damage and large hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to

roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...

Monticello, Bethel, Damascus, Callicoon, Cochecton, Jeffersonville,

Stalker, Mongaup Valley, Maplewood, and Smallwood.
